CIMA South East Reschedules Female Entrepreneurship Event with 'Secret Millionaire Star'

Date: 29th April 2010
Venue: Dooley's Hotel, Waterford
Time: 6.30pm (registration and refreshments from 6.00pm)
Cost: €15.00

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants  (CIMA) has rescheduled the Female Entrepreneurship seminar with "Secret Millionaire"  star Margaret Heffernan to Thursday 29 April Entrepreneur in Dooley's Hotel at 6.00pm. The event has been rescheduled following disruption of flights as a result of the volcanic ash cloud.

Margaret Heffernan (www.mheffernan.com) is Professor of Entrepreneurship at Simmons College, Boston and also Executive-in-Residence at Babson College. She has written a number of books on ‘female entrepreneurship', including her bestseller ‘How She does it' - how female entrepreneurs are changing the rules for Business Success'. Margaret also recently featured in the Channel Four TV programme ‘Secret Millionaires'.

During her presentation, Margaret will cover:

  • Why women go into business for themselves (and how their motivations contribute to their success)
  • The characteristics of successful female entrepreneurs and why they are so effective
  • How they exit their businesses (which can be well or badly!)
  • What all of us - men included - could learn from the way that women run their businesses

Copies of Margaret's books will be available for purchase at a discount price on the evening.

Note: This event is open to all who may be interested, in addition to CIMA members
