Student and Alumni Comments
"When I joined the University of Ulster's full time MBA programme, I had some pretty misguided notions including that I would be spoon-fed a nicely packaged course that would provide me with a shiny new 'badge' at the end of the course. How wrong could I have been! The Ulster MBA was a roller-coaster ride of self-discovery and practical team-based application of contemporary, innovative management thinking. The Ulster experience - facilitated by the creative and thought-provoking lecturing team - forced me to think for myself and gave me the confidence not to settle for second best in terms of my post-graduation career plans.
I can honestly say that I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to discover their true professional calling."
Damian Moore, MBA with Distinction 2007
"In my opinion the Ulster MBA is essential for those who want to be excellent managers, in public sectors or private sectors. I decided to do my MBA overseas and selected the University Of Ulster as it is a well-equipped education facility and the warm-hearted service provided an environment beneficial to my study.
The dynamic teaching ensured participant interaction and real examples of theory being applied significantly enhanced my study and understanding.
As an overseas student, I found my study to be a wonderful experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and life at UU. I believe what I learned and the experience I had will benefit my future."
Li Xin, MBA 2006
"In today's highly competitive and constantly changing global business environment, an MBA degree is essential for all those who aspire to be leading managers. The Ulster MBA has equipped me with invaluable skills that I applied at work from day one. I have gained broad business knowledge with the ability to think strategically and look at every opportunity holistically drawing on a range of sources for the best possible solution. The Ulster MBA has significantly enhanced my career prospects at an international level and I would recommend it to all those who are committed to continuous learning and want to make a difference in their organisations."

About the University of Ulster MBA
Our MBA is designed to be a flexible modular programme and is generalist in nature. Students learn the key elements of business and management which facilitate effective working within a variety of organisational environments.
In line with the University's Mission Statement, the Ulster Business School provides education by a variety of means and at varying levels. We have a long-standing commitment to life long learning and progression. Thus, approximately half of our students are studying part-time and opportunities are offered to progress from diploma courses (many of which are offered in partnership with local colleges) to higher level programmes. Almost 2,000 of our students are studying at the postgraduate level, and postgraduate and research activity are promoted through the Faculty's Graduate School. In offering our programmes, we are able to draw on the expertise of over 200 academic and consultancy staff, including some 30 professors.
We are committed to the pursuit of excellence in research, teaching and the provision of management development programmes.
Activities in each of these areas are subject to close monitoring and evaluation.
Peer review plays an important part in the evaluation of teaching activities. Prior to their introduction, all programmes are subject to such evaluation, and then to further evaluations at intervals of approximately five years.
